The Effect of First Language Acquisition on Second Language Acquisition

摘要

自21世纪以来，随着社会的进步和科技的发展，越来越多的人开始着手研究第一语言对第二语言的影响。第一语言和第二语言的学习和研究是当前外语教学理论和实践的核心问题。然而，绝大多数人是在学习第一语言，也就是母语的前提下，进而学习第二语言。那么，第一语言必然会对第二语言的学习有着或多或少的影响，其中包含积极的方面，以及消极的方面。因此，许多二语学习者对于该研究领域兴趣颇深，开始着手研究这方面的影响。本文通过研究两种语言习得的相同以及不同点，对两者之间进行比较研究，从而发现以及完善两者间积极的影响，以便为语言学习者和语言教师提供理论借鉴。在研究两种语言的同时，也可以进一步了解自己的母语，通过了解第一语言习得从而帮助学习和理解第二语言。同时，通过了解第二语言习得理论更好地学习第二语言。

Abstract

Since the 21st century，with the development of society and technology, more and more researchers begin to focus on the influence of first language acquisition on second language acquisition. The study of first and second language learning and research is now the core of the theory and practice in foreign language teaching. However, the majority of people begin to learn their second language after their first language—their mother tongue. Then, the first language acquisition will have more or less influence on second language acquisition, including the positive one and the negative one. As a result, many scholars in second language acquisition are quite interested in this area. In order to discover and improve the positive influence and help English learners and teachers know more about second language acquisition, this paper is intended to make a comparison between first language acquisition and second language acquisition, thus providing a good chance for language learners to further understand their mother tongues and second language as well.
