摘要

《傲慢与偏见》为简·奥斯汀所作，于 1813 年问世，作品生动地反应了 18

世纪末到 19 世纪初处于保守和闭塞状态下的英国乡镇生活和世态人情，被英国小说家和戏剧家毛姆列为世界十大小说之一。在奥斯汀之前，18  世纪后期的英国小说中有一股女性感情潮流，充满伤心流泪的感伤情调和为忧郁而忧郁的嗜好。

《傲慢与偏见》克服了这种倾向，她在小说中运用喜剧的手法表达对生活的严肃批评。作品虽然以女性视角展开，但男主人公达西的人物形象也非常饱满，对情节的推动起了很大作用。本文将以性格组合原理具体分析《傲慢与偏见》中男主人公达西的性格双重性。性格组合原理最早由钱钟书提出，刘再复在此基础上完善发展。性格组合原理提出人的性格不管多么复杂，都是由相反两极构成的，如肯定与否定，善与恶，真与假，美与丑，悲与喜，崇高与卑劣等。任何性格和心理状态都是由上述两极内容按照一定的结构方式排列的表现。性格二重组合就是性格两极的排列组合。《傲慢与偏见》中达西的性格前期傲慢无礼、目中无人， 后期谦逊有礼、善良体贴，本文运用性格组合原理能够有助于读者理解达西的性格转变，了解作者如此塑造人物形象的意义。性格组合原理为理解小说人物性格的塑造提供了理论支撑，而通过分析小说也为此原理提供了具体的范例。
