摘要

《查泰来夫人的情人》不仅仅是一部爱情小说，故事中的每个场景，女主人公康妮的每段恋情都体现出劳伦斯对工业文明高度发展的社会中人性被压抑、两性关系扭曲异化的深深忧虑。

优美且充满生机的自然坏境与肮脏残破的煤矿之间的强烈对比，体现出劳伦斯的人文关怀思想：对自然的热爱、对工业文明的发展扭曲和压抑自然人性的谴责。男女主人公即在这种“自然”与“工业文明”的冲突和不平衡下冲破阶级桎梏，释放天性而结合。

在劳伦斯看来，和谐的男女关系高于一切，而且男女之间“灵与肉”的结合才能终将拯救被资本主义工业文明所扭曲和压抑着的人类天性。贯穿故事始终的康妮的三段主要恋情表达出她对真爱得思索与追求及其爱情观念的不断成熟。三种不同的爱情—精神之爱、肉体之爱、“灵与肉”结合的爱情，体现人类自然天性的压抑到释放，表现出健康和谐的两性关系对于恢复人类天性以及打破冷漠势力的社会关系的重要意义。

Abstract

Lady Chatterley’s Lover is far more than a love story. Every scene in the novel and each love affair of the leading role, Connie, show Lawrence’s thorough concern for the depressed human nature and alienated sexual relationship in the highly industrialized society.

The sharp difference between the elegant and vibrant natural environment and  the filthy Tevershall pit reveals Lawrence’s humanistic concern: the love for nature，the blame for industrialized society for depressing and distorting human nature. Connie and Mellors made their perfect combination by breaking the confinement of the class differences under the conflict and unbalance caused by the fight between “nature” and “industrial civilization”.

 In Lawrence’s opinion, the harmonious sexual relationship is high above any other thing, and it is the combination of body and soul that can finally set human nature free from the depression of capitalist industrial civilization. Throughout the novel, the three main love affairs of Connie show her pursuit of true love and the maturing of her love views. Three different kinds of love— spiritual love, physical love, and love of body and soul, show the process of releasing human nature, and reflect the significance of healthy and harmonious sexual relationships to the reviving of human nature and to the ending of the indifferent social relationship.
