摘要

数字是人类语言文化的一个特殊领域。自从数字的概念诞生以来，它不仅具有计算的功能，还具有文化的功能，并依据这种文化功能深刻地影响着人类的其他文化。数字在中西方文化中扮演着重要角色，数字的使用几乎涉及生活的每个方面。探讨其在汉、英两种语言中所体现出的中美方不同民族文化习俗、历史渊源、宗教信仰、地理环境等文化差异,这有助于人们了解数字文化差异，消除文化冲突，从而更好地进行跨文化交际。

Abstract

Numbers constitute a special aspect in human language and culture. Since the concept of number appeared, it not only has the function of calculation but also has the function of culture which affects other cultures of human beings profoundly. Number is widely used in every aspect and plays an important role in both China and Western countries. Discuss cultural differences such as national cultural customs, historical origin，religious beliefs and geographical environment between China and America can help people know the cultural differences, remove the cultural conflicts and conduct cross-cultural communication better.
