商务英语信函中委婉语的应用
The Application of Euphemism in Business English Letter
摘要
现如今，随着全球一体化进程的日益加快，各国间的贸易联系日益紧密。而作为桥梁作用的商务英语信函成了贸易中不可缺少的一部分，委婉语也因此越来越得到人们的关注。委婉语在信函中是至关重要的，并且它使用的正确与否也能直接或间接地影响到贸易的结果。本文通过例子，对委婉语的特征、应用以及语法方面的问题进行了研究与探索，以此来增强人们对委婉语的理解。论文分为六个部分。第一部分定义了商务英语信函和委婉语；第二部分是文献综述；第三部分是委婉语的特征；第四部分是委婉语的应用；第五部分是委婉语的语法使用；最后作者得出结论：只有正确使用委婉语，我们才能更好地完成一封商务英语信函。为了增强人们对委婉语的理解并更好得抓住委婉语的用法技巧，论文主要讲述了商务英语信函中委婉语的特征，语法，原则等，并结合了一些实际例子来使人们更加了解委婉语的好处。

Abstract
Nowadays, with the ever-accelerating process of globalization, the trade between countries becomes increasingly close. As a bridge, business English letter has become an indispensable part of trade, therefore, more and more people pay attention to the euphemism. Euphemism is of vital importance in the business English letter, and whether using it correctly or not can affect the result of trade directly or indirectly. Combining with examples, this article has done the research and exploration of the characteristics, application and grammar issues of the euphemism to enhance people’s understanding of it. The study contains six parts. In the first part, the author gives the definition of the business English letter and euphemism. In the second part, the author will show the research of the study that written by the scholars at home and abroad. Part three analyzes  the characteristics of the euphemism. The forth part is about the application of the euphemism and the fifth one is for the using of grammar in euphemism. In the last part, the author will give a conclusion probably about only a correct use of euphemism can we write the business English letter well. In order to enhance people’s understanding of the euphemism and better to grasp the use of euphemism, this study mainly talks about the characteristics, grammar, principles, etc. of the euphemism in business English letter, combined with some practical sentences to make people better know the benefits of euphemism.
