散文翻译中的增译法与减译法-以张培基散文为例_英语论文
Amplification and Omission Strategies in Chinese Prose Translation with Zhang Peiji’s Prose Translation as an Example

Abstract
In the era of globalization, Chinese culture has spread all over the world. However, due to the differences of every country, Chinese classic works are difficult to be understood. Nevertheless, some classic Chinese-English translations do help people understand, among which Zhang Peiji’s classic works are very important in this aspect. Zhang Peiji applied many translation skills in his classic works, which are very important for foreign people to understand. The essay is mainly to explore the importance of amplification and omission with Zhang Peiji’s Translation of Modern Chinese Prose. In the process of Chinese-English translation, translation skills, particularly amplification and omission are very important. What are amplification and omission are adding words that are deficient in the original text and leaving out redundant words. Adopting amplification and omission is not only expressing the meaning of the original text, but also making translated texts fluent and better expressing author’s thought and intension. But without using the two translation skills properly, the original value will be losing. In order to better understand the two translation skills, the essay is mainly to explore the classification of amplification and omission and the positive and negative influences on prose translation with Zhang Peiji’s Translation of Modern Chinese Prose as an example.
