摘要

华兹生（Burton Watson）作为当代最重要的中国典籍翻译家、汉学家之一，为中国文化传播做出了极大贡献，研究其翻译理念、策略等可以帮助我们更好的选择诗歌翻译文本,了解翻译方法，进一步展示中国的审美情趣及思想观念，推动中国文化走出去。 本文基于数据库检索以及文本阅读，展现了华兹生诗歌翻译生涯，并通过大量案例分析出了其翻译风格和策略，即：忠实性、可读性、读者意识。同时，本文还基于华兹生汉诗英译的可接受性调查，为中国诗歌走出去提供建议：中国文化走出去是个长久的过程，需要一步步实现；我们需要更多不同的翻译版本，同时还需要对译者译作的可接受度进行调查。
