摘要

沈从文的小说《边城》在中国现代文学史上具有重要地位，其译作也因此广受国内外读者关注。美国学者金介甫作为“海外研究沈从文第一人”，他的译本具有很高的研究价值。本文从跨文化传播角度出发，将书中湘西特色民俗信息分为物质、生态、语言、宗教、和社会文化五类，通过细致地对比原文与译文，分析金介甫在翻译过程中采用的翻译策略。翻译的存在是为了更好的文化交流，金介甫采用异化翻译为主的策略，较好地保留了原文中湘西特有的民俗文化。他以源语文化为导向的翻译方法帮助了中国民俗文化更好地在世界范围内传播，同时也为我们在翻译类似文本时提供了借鉴。
