摘要

作为美国短篇小说的开创者之一，爱伦·坡不仅首创了侦探小说，也是科幻小说的最早撰写者，同时他也是一位杰出的诗人，并且是见解犀利的评论家、成就不凡的编辑。不仅如此，坡还是一位始终走在时代前列的作家，他的文学创作早早地涉及了较多的现代主义元素，对美国文学乃至世界文学都做出了巨大贡献。爱伦·坡的侦探推理的五种模式被后世的同类型作家奉为圭臬，深刻影响了后世推理小说的创作。其提出的“效果统一”理论也成为爱伦·坡成就中浓墨重彩的一部分，以至于后世提到爱伦·坡就会提起“效果统一论”。

本论文通过分析爱伦·坡的三篇侦探小说——《金甲虫》、《失窃的信》和《你就是凶手》，探究爱伦·坡侦探小说中“效果统一论”的运用，分析其小说的悬疑效果及其构成细节。首先，阐述爱伦·坡“效果统一论”的概念。其次，从小说人物，情节，环境背景三方面具体分析爱伦·坡的三篇侦探推理小说，结合小说具体内容对效果的构建进行详细说明。
