摘要

《摆脱贫困》中“脱贫”这一主题的现实意义使该书的英文版在海外广受欢迎。《摆脱贫困》中全书29篇文章中引用古诗文高达69处之多，与书中主要观点联系紧密,在书中具有重要意义。此外，古诗文具有文学性质，在政治文本的背景下，其翻译特点值得探讨。

本文首先以Readbility-Analyzer1.0对《摆脱贫困》中古诗文的英译文以及文学文本中的英译文进行定量分析，得出《摆脱贫困》中古诗文的英译文的总体特点为“易读”，“简单”，其次结合案例分析“易读”及“简单”这两个特点是如何在文本中体现的，最后探究为达到这样的翻译特点译者采取的英译策略。研究发现本书中译者采取了“信息补偿”，“意义改写”，“分割断句”等翻译策略。本研究发现的译文特点及总结的翻译策略对政治文本中的古诗文英译活动具有一定的指导作用。
