摘要

目前，影视作品作为文化的媒介和载体频繁地出现在我国荧幕上，一个新兴的研究领域由此诞生了——影视翻译。字幕翻译的研究引起了学术界越来越多的关注。

本文选取了美剧《地球百子》的字幕翻译作为研究对象，依据功能对等理论，从词汇和句法层面对《地球百子》的字幕汉译进行了对比分析，并且采用了实证研究方法。

全文共由五章构成。第一章介绍了本文的研究背景和研究意义。第二章是功能对等理论的回顾，包括功能对等理论的定义、前人的研究和发展。此外，还简要介绍了功能对等理论在字幕翻译中的应用以及国内外研究现状和局限性。第三章介绍了字幕翻译的定义、分类、功能以及影响因素。第四章是功能对等理论在《地球百子》字幕翻译中的实际应用，包括字幕汉译的对比分析以及一些翻译策略。第五章是结论部分，概述全文并指出局限性。
