摘要

《面纱》是毛姆的一部反映人性的女性成长小说，主要讲述了女主人公凯蒂在无爱的婚姻内，由出轨走向自我救赎的全部过程。本文以言语行为理论为框架，以毛姆的《面纱》中的人物对话作为研究对象，运用语用学言语行为理论分析具有典型性的对话实例，运用塞尔的五种言语行为来分析和说明在言语行为理论的视角下，作品中人物在言语表达方面所产生的深层含义以及对推动故事发展所产生的影响。研究《面纱》能够帮助我们更好的了解毛姆作品中人物的性格，更深刻的剖析言语行为的应用，加深人们对言语行为理论的理解。
