A Comparative Study of Chinese and British Wine Culture

摘要

作为一种饮料，酒历史悠久，深深地根植在物质生活和精神生活中，成为了一种重要的文化现象，体现了鲜明的民族性。当今社会，中英两国交流不断加强，了解中英两国酒文化的差异变得越来越重要。因此，中英两国间酒文化的比较研究具有重要的现实意义。

本文在前人对酒文化研究的基础上分析中英酒文化,目的是帮助人们更好地理解两国的酒文化。第一章介绍了研究的背景和意义。第二章分析中英酒文化间的差异。第三章阐述了导致中国和英国酒文化差异的因素。最后，第四章总结了了解中英酒文化差异的重要性，并提出了一些对于跨文化交际中饮酒的建议。

Abstract

As a drink, wine has a very long history, and is deep-rooted in material and spiritual lives of human. It is also a kind of important cultural phenomenon manifesting distinctive nationality. In today’s frequent cultural communication, understanding the differences of wine culture between China and Britain has become more and more important. Therefore, it’s significant to make a comparative study of wine culture between China and Britain.

This paper analyzes wine culture between China and Britain on the basis of the relevant previous research. The purpose of analysis is to help people understand more about wine cultures of the two countries. Chapter one is the introduction to background and significance of the research. Chapter two analyzes the differences between Chinese wine and British wine. Chapter three explains the factors leading to the differences between Chinese and British wine culture. Finally, chapter four concludes the importance of understanding the differences between Chinese wine and British wine, and also provides some suggestions for intercultural communication in drinking.
