摘要

语言是人与人日常交流的基本媒介。同时，语言能反映和影响一个人的思维方式，也是一个国家文化不可分割的组成部分。因此，国与国之间有着文化差异也是理所当然的。《刮痧》是一部郑晓龙导演的反映中美文化差异的电影，整部电影以中医刮痧疗法产生的误会为主线，讲述了华人在国外由于东西方文化的冲突而陷入种种困境，最后又因人们的诚恳与爱心，困境最终被冲破的故事。本文采用语言相对论作为理论依据，并在前人研究的基础上，分析了《刮痧》中的美国人对中国文化的理解障碍。本文从中国医学观、教育观和家庭观三个方面展开了研究，并结合影片《刮痧》中收集的资料分析得到，由于语言对思维的影响， 会使得美国人在理解中国文化时遇到难以逾越的障碍。
