目的论视角下的《生活大爆炸》字幕翻译研究

A Research on the Subtitle Translation of The Big Bang Theory from the Perspective of Skopos Theory

摘  要：近年来，在全球化进程加快和信息科技迅猛发展的形势下，中外文化相互影响、相互学习的程度也随之发展。到目前为止，在中国的影视界，西方的影视作品占据了一定的份额，一些作品自然也得到了中国观众的热切追捧。欣赏独具特色的西方影视作品，不仅可以了解到独树一帜的西方文化，同时也可以学习地道的英语表达方式。然而，如何使目标观众能够和原语文化观者一样发出会心的微笑是当下字幕翻译工作者一直在思考的问题。目的论能够比较有效地解决这些问题，因为目的论提出翻译就是不同文化之间有目的的交流活动。所有翻译行为都是有目的的，整个翻译过程都要受到目的的制约。所以译文优异的评判标准就是它是否能够达到预期目的。本文以目的论的三大理论为基础，对《生活大爆炸》这一优秀的西方影视作品开展相关研究，主要阐述了字幕翻译高效准确的方法。通过对影视作品中经典台词翻译的分析，了解以目的论为指导的各种翻译技巧的使用。

Abstract: Globalization and rapid developing information technologies have promoted cultural exchanges between China and other countries. Large quantities of western works have flooded into China, which have naturally attracted the attention of the Chinese audiences. Some of them can enjoy the unique visual reflection of western culture together with learning idiomatic English expressions. However, contemporary subtitle translators have been pondering over the question of how to make the target audiences have the same understanding smiles as the viewers from the native culture. Skopos Theory could provide a relatively effective solution to these problems, because it regards translation as a purposeful intercultural action and states that all translation actions have specific purposes, which determine the whole translation process. Thus the quality of translation depends on whether it achieves the intended purposes or not. This thesis carries out a case study of The Big Bang Theory, and specifically applies the three principles of Skopos Theory, focusing on the research of how to make an effective subtitle translation. Many examples are analyzed to explore the suitable application of various translation strategies under the guidance of Skopos Theory.
