摘要

随着全球化的的日益增强，越来越多的美剧涌入中国。考虑到中国广大的观众群体以及中国综合国力的提升，美剧中的出现了越来越多的中国元素，剧中的华人形象也更加多元化。本文主要选取了美国的两部大热连续剧《绝望的主妇》和《初来乍到》作为内容分析。其中《绝望的主妇》中的华人大多是从事社会底层工作的女佣、服务员、非法移民等。由于政治、经济、文化等方面的原因，这些华人大多呈现的是贪婪、自私、贫穷的负面形象。而自ABC于2015年播放的首部以美籍华裔家庭为主角的连续剧《初来乍到》开始，美剧中的华人形象有了明显的积极变化。本文将根据这两部大热美剧，找出其中正面和负面的华人形象。并根据两部剧各自的时代背景分析这些华人形象变化的原因。
