摘要

近年来，随着中国综合国力的日益增长，与西方各国的联系也更加紧密，这就更加要求我们更好的理解西方文化。在文学领域，女性主义一直是一个饱受争议的话题，随着男女平等观念的发展，有越来越多的学者探讨文学作品中的女性主义。艾丽丝沃克作为美国女权主义文学创作的先驱之一，她在女性意识方面有着自己独特的见解。

《紫色》是艾丽丝沃克的关于女性意识的一部作品。这部作品中的女主人公都以悲剧结尾。作者通过描写主人公的经历及结局，反映了黑人女性的苦难，歌颂了她们与逆境搏斗的精神和奋发自立的坚强性格。

这篇文章主要从两个方面探究艾丽丝沃克女性意识的发展。首先对通过女主角西莉亚自我意识的觉醒和积极乐观的生活态度寻求独立解放之路。其次，通过描写紫色中配角的对比和衬托作用，来体现主角在追求自我解放过程中的艰难和坚持。同时本文结合当时时代背景及作者的个人经历探究凯特肖邦女性意识觉醒的必然性。
