从目的论角度看小说书名的英汉翻译_英语论文

E-C Translation of Novel Titles from the Perspective of Skopos Theory

摘要

随着跨文化交际的日益频繁，文化的传播方式也多种多样。其中最常见的传播途径便是书籍。大量的外国书籍被译介入中国，其中小说占了很大比例。而书名是整个作品的点睛之笔，读者是否购买在很大程度上取决于书名，因此小说书名的翻译在整部作品翻译中的地位举足轻重。本篇论文分析了小说书名的特点、小说书名翻译预期的功能，进而从目的论的角度探讨了小说书名英汉翻译的方法，以期对小说书名翻译有所帮助。

Abstract

With the increasing frequency of cross-cultural communication, the modes of cultural transmission are diversified, among which the commonly used one is the book. A large number of foreign books are introduced into China, with novels accounting for a large proportion. Whether or not the readers buy the novels largely depends on the novel titles which serve as the soul of the work, hence the translation of novel titles plays an essential role in the whole translation process. This paper discusses the features of novel titles and expected functions of novel title translation, based on which approaches to E-C translation of novel titles are analyzed, hoping it could be of certain help to E-C translation of novel titles.
