从功能对等视角看《女王心计》的字幕翻译_英语论文

On Subtitle Translation of Reign from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence Theory

摘要

随着现代科技的快速发展，大量的外国影视作品开始流入我国。如今，越来越多的中国人对此产生了浓厚的兴趣，观看外国影视作品已经成为了一种时尚。因此字幕翻译也变得举足轻重。但由于规则和制度没有形成模式，市场上的翻译作品很少有优秀的。因此，译者有必要对字幕翻译进行相关研究。练习翻译一些影视作品之后，作者发现，可以按照功能对等原理来处理字幕翻译。据奈达所研究，功能对等原理的要求就是确保目标受众和原始受众在阅读译文过程中的反应相同。本文试图以奈达"功能对等"的翻译理论作为指导，就美剧《女王心计》的字幕翻译进行深入探讨。同时，本文也就各种翻译方法进行相关的分析。文章结论得出，虽然实现功能对等很是困难，但是字幕翻译还是可以采用奈达定律的。

Abstract

With the rapid development of modern techniques, large amount of foreign films and TV programs have been brought into China in recent years. More and more audiences began to express great interest in foreign TV series and movies. It is a modern trend to watch them in China. So great importance has been gained in subtitle translation. Therefore, there is necessary for researchers to conduct a research on subtitle translation. Functional equivalence, which is proposed by Nida, regards that target audiences should understand and enjoy programs clearly and correctly as original readers do. This thesis aims to analyze subtitle translation of Reign and its translation methods from the perspective of functional equivalence. It is concluded that functional equivalence can be accepted as a principle to guide subtitle translation although it has some limitations.
