The third part explained the cause of the differences in values between the two programs through analyzing program orientation, social form and the establishment of media. Based on the above discussion, the fourth part tried to explore the enlightenment brought by the comparison of values to the development of China's talent shows, and discusses the development of China's talent shows.
Finally, the paper concluded that there are differences between the two programs in high and low context, long-term and short-term orientation, collectivism and individualism. While China’s Got Talent presents a typical high-context culture, with a long-term orientation toward culture and collectivism culture, America’s Got Talent is the opposite. The different positioning of the two programs, the complicated and changeable Chinese and foreign society and the necessity of establishing cultural media have all led to the differences in the values of the two programs.
