摘要

《喜福会》是美籍华裔作家谭恩美的主要文学代表作之一，讲述了四个华裔女儿和她们的母亲们的故事。这部作品以四位华裔母亲和女儿为核心，描绘了这几个家庭近百年来的经历和遭遇，从而将苦痛的老一辈中国女性和新一代具有独立人格和经济地位的女性进行了对比。本文主要以作品中的四位女儿为研究对象，分析了四位华裔女儿在寻求自己的文化身份的过程中，她们与母亲、与美国社会之间的不同矛盾及成因，揭示了民族主义在华裔后代中的影响。
