摘要

随着大众传媒的不断发展以及全球化程度的加深，大量的外国影视作品尤其是原声电影纷纷涌入中国。因此，字幕的翻译显得尤为重要。

以《阿甘正传》为例，笔者从宏观的角度出发，运用目的论三个原则尝试归纳出《阿甘正传》字幕翻译原则。字幕翻译目的也是商业大片的主要目的，即满足观众的需求和期待，领略到电影的魅力。连贯原则高于忠实原则，但是它们都要服从目的原则。接着笔者通过列举许多的实例来分析基于目的论原则下翻译方法与技巧的具体运用，包括归化，异化策略和意译，增译和减译等具体方法。

笔者在对目的论和目的论在字幕翻译中的具体运用研究后，认为目的论是指导电影字幕翻译的首选。目的论具有灵活性，要求译者从目的角度出发同时给予译者很大的自由，可以让译者充分发挥翻译策略和方法。
