非英语专业大学生英语语言磨蚀研究_英语论文
The Study on Language Attrition of Non-English Majors
摘要
近年来,语言磨蚀(Language Attrition)对第二语言学习的影响开始日益受到教育者们的重视。本研究旨在讨论的是非英语专业大学生在汉语环境下,英语作为第二语言的磨蚀情况。本文以大学英语六级考试为参考依据,通过对比分析法律专业(文科)和自动化专业(理科)四年级本科学生在完成课堂英语学习一年半后的英语水平,客观反映受试者英语水平磨蚀情况,并在此基础上探讨语言磨蚀产生的原因、影响因素、文理科差异、性别差异等,从而得出有关高校学生外语学习的启示
本研究中共有40名受试者,其中男女比例为1:1,文理科比例也为1:1,时间跨度为一年半。受试者大二的六级考试成绩设为控制数,大四时做的一份难度相当的六级试卷成绩为实验数。运用相应的数学公式对受试人员的两次成绩进行比较分析,研究结果显示,一年半内,受试人员发生了明显的语言磨蚀,本研究的结果说明了语言磨蚀对高校大学生的二语习得有着极其重要的作用,应对其给予充分关注。

Abstract
Over the past decades, language attrition has been an important research field and plays an increasing important role in English teaching and learning. The paper makes an investigation among the non-English majors to analyze the English attrition situation after the termination of English learning for 18 months, pointing out what skills suffer from attrition most, and discuss whether major difference, gender difference and other factors have influence on language attrition. This paper will help students possess a better understanding of language attrition, reduce the degree of English attrition and polish up learning capability.
