摘要:
《德伯家的苔丝》是由英国小说家托马斯哈代于1891年出版,这部小说以19世纪中叶第一次工业革命以及资本主义逐渐侵蚀平静的英国乡村为背景的长篇小说。托马斯哈代的这部作品抨击基督教道德的虚伪性与僵死教条,对基督教提出质疑,并显露出叛逆的倾向并且对于女性形象也有自己的见解,他认为女性拥有丰富的自我意识和独立的思想见解。书中苔丝在一系列经历之后,对于现存的道德,法律及宗教产生了自己的见解和想法,她最终虽以被捕结局,但依旧完成了自己对于现实社会的反抗。本文主要分析了《德伯家的苔丝》中苔丝的女性意识的觉醒,表现了当时作者对于女性独立人格的认可以及他对当时社会旧有习俗观念和制度提出严正挑战。结合当时的社会大背景,分析作者对于女性的态度,写作意图以及作品产生的影响。论文主要就小说《德伯家的苔丝》中女性意识觉醒的具体体现及作者的女性主义观点进行了阐述。

Abstract:
Tess of the D'Urbervilles was a novel published by Thomas Hardy in 1891, and using the middle of the 19th century when the first industrial revolution and capitalism gradually eroded the calm of the British countryside as the background. In this book, the author attacked on hypocrisy of Christianity and inflexible doctrines. He doubted about Christianity and even had rebellious trend to it. He had his own thoughts about female and he thought female should have abundant self-consciousness and independent thoughts as told in the story. After being treated by the cruel world, Tess had her own thoughts on morality, laws and religion. Although she was caught in the last, but she still accomplished her rebellion to the real world. This paper mainly analyses the awakening of feminine consciousness in Tess of the D’urbervilles, and the approval of women’s independent personalities and the challenges of old system of folkways. Also, it contains analysis of the author’s attitudes towards women under the social background at that time, and his writing intention and the influence of this masterpiece.
