摘要 

作为简•奥斯汀创作的著名小说之一，《爱玛》是奥斯汀描写女权主义最成熟的一部作品，也是奥斯汀唯一一部以女主角的名字命名的小说。女主角爱玛在海伯里犯的一次次错误中和奈特利先生等人的帮助下一步步成长并最终走向成熟。 

本文旨在通过分析简•奥斯汀的著名小说《爱玛》中促成爱玛成长的多重因素, 包括周围人物的影响和社会环境变化的影响，探讨爱玛的成长过程, 即她从一个傲慢、盛气凌人、爱管闲事的中产阶级女性转变成一个真诚、成熟、追求平等的中产阶级女性，从而实现了她在社交、道德和心理上的成长。爱玛的成长体现了她女性意识的觉醒和她对平等地位的追求以及希望推翻维多利亚时期的等级观念的强烈愿望。本论文让读者对《爱玛》这部作品以及简•奥斯汀的创作理念有更深入的了解 。
