摘 要

近些年,国际旅游的问题引起了广泛关注。旅游语篇的翻译成为了不同文化之间交流的必要手段。然而,在今天中国的旅游市场,英文的旅游语篇存在着很多问题。要避免这些问题的发生,就要仔细研究引起这些问题的原因,从而达到对症下药的效果,使旅游语篇的翻译更加完美,并得到世界的认可。本文的目的在于研究现今存在的旅游语篇的翻译的问题以及帮助翻译者提高他们对旅游语篇的翻译水平。同时,努力提高中国文化在世界上的认知度。主要通过分析旅游语篇的特点,中国传统文化及其对英国文化的影响,从读者角度,翻译者的素养以及旅游语篇翻译的基本技巧来实现研究目的。

Abstract

The problem of international tourism has caused extensive public concern over the recent years. Tourism translation has become a necessary means of communication between different cultures. However, a lot of problems have existed in the English versions in today’s tourism market. In order to avoid these problems, we should investigate the causes carefully, and translators should provide foreign tourists with high-quality translations. Only in this way, can we find specific ways to solve the problems, make the translation of English discourse more perfect, and acquire the recognition of the whole world. This paper aims to investigate what presents behind the problems and to assist translators in proving the quality of tourism discourses translation. At the same time, it trys to advance the communication and understanding of Chinese culture in the world. The target is touched by analyzing the characteristics of tourism discourses, Chinese Traditional Culture and it’s influence on English Culture, readers’ standpoint, the cultivation of translators and the general skills of tourism discourse translation.

1 Introduction
Tourism is the world modern industry, and was also named as the “smokeless industry”. In fact, it should be called as the “cultural enterprise”. Various modern tourisms rise up rapidly, and transmit all kinds of culture and living style. While tourism discourses act an absolutely necessary role in this process. So the translation of tourism discourses combines these two parts.
Nowadays, tourism discourse has become one of the most important, rapid, active industries in the world. Though our country has abundant of tourism resources, the popularity of its tourism resources are little known by foreign tourists. Most of the foreign tourists only have information about some famous cities in China such as Beijing and Shanghai, while other scenic spots in other places are not well known. From that, we can see that foreign countries know little about our domestic tourism, and they only get the relevant information from some media, materials, and words or through the Internet.
