摘 要
旅游手册是旅游过程中一种必不可少的营销手段,它具有信息传递和引导性两种主要的功能。旅游手册翻译的信息准确性和文字优美性是翻译中的一个侧重点。本文首先介绍中西方对于旅游手册翻译的应用理论以及中英文修辞手法的特点。其次,文章使用调查和收集法,研究吸收各家翻译研究理论所长,在此基础上用修辞的角度去研究和发现其中不同的理论所支持的理据并分析。在旅游手册中译英时,必须要遵循一些翻译技巧,适当的添加,删除,考虑到中英的不同的修辞手法,文化差异,文化背景以及不同的教育背景,减少交流障碍的同时也能保留文化原汁原味。文章将理论联系实际,在旅游手册的翻译中采用实际理论并分析译文的优点和缺点。最后,文章做出总结,突出了选择正确的翻译技巧和修辞手法的重要性。

Abstract
Travel brochure is an essential marketing tool in the process of tourism. It has two main functions: informative and appellative. Tourist brochures focus on the accuracy of information and beauty of text. This article first introduced translation theories at home and aboard for the application. Then they are followed by English and Chinese rhetorical devices and their characteristics. This article uses investigate and collect method to study and absorb various translation studies theories’ advantages. On this basis, study and discover theoretical justifications in different theories from a rhetorical perspective view to analyze. In addition, the brochure should get visitors resonance by using the common points in rhetorical devices between Chinese and English. In the tourist brochures translation, several translation techniques should be followed, properly to add, delete, taking into account the difference in English rhetorical, cultural differences, cultural backgrounds and different educational backgrounds to reduce communication barriers while also keep authentic cultural preservation. This paper gives examples about tourist brochures translation using theories to analyze advantages and disadvantages. Finally, a conclusion is given to highlight the importance of choosing a proper translation technique and rhetorical devices.

1 Introduction
Tourist translation mainly has three functions, namely, the expressive, the informative and the vocative functions. As one kind of pragmatic text, the function of tourist brochures is to introduce the scenic attractions and to convey the related information so as to enable the viewers to understand, to see the beauty of the spots and enjoy the spots. In other words, the ultimate purpose and main function of the tourism translation is to convey the exactly information to attract tourists. Translation of tourist brochures is a kind of publicity activity. Its essence is that the translator should attempt to produce the same effect on the target language readers as produced by the original on the source language readers. Chinese readers seldom have difficulty in understanding the original because they share the same cultural background with the writer. But cultural discrepancies will hinder foreign readers from understanding those texts properly. Therefore, translate should adopt a proper method to adjust the version so as to help readers apprehend the texts.
