摘　要

在全球经济一体化快速发展的今天，国际商务活动日益频繁。而在频繁的交流中不可避免的要用到商务信函，因为这是非常原始和基本的一种商业洽谈交流手段。然，在商务信函的书写中的规范又与我们日常信函是有所不同的，这主要体现在正式，简洁，礼貌这三个方面。名词化是商务英语信函的重要特征，也最能反映正式，简洁，礼貌这三点。所以作为一个合格专业的国际贸易工作人员，要掌握商务英语信函的这一特点，方能写出高质量、地道的英语信函。本论文就从名词化的历史、意义和作用作了分析，并讨论其实际应用和翻译时的注意点。

Abstract

With the expansion of global economy, The English business letter, as a kind of original and basic negotiation tools, takes a very important part in the communication of international trade. And there are lots of countries take English as their working language. While business and international English business letter writing is different with ordinary letter writing, which chiefly concern in formalness, conciseness and politeness. As a qualified and professional staff of international trade, We should master the knowledge of this point to make our business letter writing better. This paper defines the means and history of Nominalization in English business letter, and discusses its application and several points in translation.

1 Introduction
This paper defines the means and usage of Nominalization in English business letter, and discusses its application and translation.
With the expansion of global economy, the business English is taking a very important part in the communication of international trade, and there are lots of countries take English as their working language. While business and international English business letter writing as a basic activity is a very important form of communication. At the same time, with the Reformed Open-door Policy enacted in china and its accession to WTO, international affairs in China have rapidly risen. Hence that the competent people that equipped with the skill of English communication is aspires to these international trade companies. And the business letter writing is just like the most essential handcraft for this line. But they may fails to notice the significance of nominalization in business letter writing. Because business letter as a special type of writing should arouse our English-major students’ attention, and make a deeper research about it.
