摘　要

翻译是英语专业八级中较难把握得分较低的部分。由于英语和汉语属于不同语系也非同一种语言形态,体现在句子结构中便是汉语重意和,英语中形合因此要求翻译时进行句子结构转化。尽管已经有很多专家总结出一系列翻译方法,对英语专业的学生来说非常受用,但是还是有一些翻译领域需要当下的翻译研究者进行钻研,找出更完善的翻译体系。本文就此为出发点，通过一些典型的例句一一阐述了英译中和中译英不同的翻译方法。最后作者归纳并对自己的新观点进行阐述。本文研究的目的在于为广大的英语翻译学习者提供完整的翻译方法体系，并且研究更完善的翻译方法，让考生能够更好的在专八中运用。

Abstract

The translation part is a difficult part of TEM8 for all the participators .This is characterized by different syntactic structures between English and Chinese, with English emphasizing hypotaxis and Chinese parataxis. So the transformation of syntactic structures when doing translation between Chinese and English is necessitated. Although there are already many classic translation methods proposed by a lot of professions, and also very well used by English majors, there also left a few fields of translation part and needed solved by us . The paper starts from this point to illustrate different kinds of translation methods by plenty of finely chosen examples. Finally the author conclude the methods and the new ideas of himself. The purpose of the paper is to show existing translation methods to English learners and study the new field of translation methods to help English majors in the test.

1 Introduction
   Translation is an important skill in language learning. As an English Major, in the practice of translation, we may meet many problems .The long sentences translation of English into Chinese is one of these problems .Because English sentence structure and many other aspects are so different from those of Chinese, when translating, we should pay more attention to them. In this thesis, the author try to systemically conclude the former researches and primarily discuss the detailed problems of English long sentences translation and will also exemplify many English and Chinese sentences and their translated versions to prove the strategies to translate the English long sentences. It is important to analyze the characters of English long sentences and then master the basic skills in translation. Moreover, translator should find a suitable method to translate English long sentences with view to the different aspects between English and Chinese. Translation is a complicated task demanding attentions to many factors and there are more issues worth studying. There are several translating skills and ways of translating English long sentences. All these methods are efficient. Mastering them, translating ability will be promoted.TEM-8 has long been considered as a most typical and important test for  English learners, therefore many teachers and students treat them very seriously, and among the parts in the test, the translation part and the writing part can more precisely indicate the students’ ability of comprehensive language application.
