摘　要

现代电影产业不仅是一种艺术形式，同时也成为了一种商业形式。随着世界电影行业的发展，越来越多的国外电影被引进中国市场。电影逐渐成为了人们日常生活中不可或缺和喜闻乐见的一部分。在选择观看这些国外电影之前，中国观众需要对它们的大致内容有一定了解。而电影篇名往往是观众所接收到的、有关一部影片的第一讯息。它看起来短小又简单，实则融汇了一部影片的精华。这些电影篇名的翻译，是一种特殊的语言翻译类型。一个好的译本，往往是一部电影的活招牌，能够吸引成千上万的观众。它为电影制作方和观众们都带来了益处：它是一部电影成功上映的至要因素，并且，能使影片的目标观众一眼就了解到该电影的内容、主题和风格。这些都需要译者把电影篇名翻译得妥帖，有吸引力，并具有商业价值。因此，此篇论文将对英美影视篇名翻译的现状展开讨论，并分析此类翻译的特点和原则，最后总结一些翻译的技巧并给出几条建议。在这篇论文中，作者主要采用的研究方法有：文献资料法，比较法，归纳法，以及引用的方法。

Abstract

Nowadays, movie has become a form of both art and commerce. With the development of the world’s movie industry, more and more foreign movies are introduced into China, and gradually become an important and necessary part of our daily lives. Chinese audience needs to know about the movies before they watch them. And title is always the first thing that audience is going to know about a new movie. It seems to be simple but it’s the essence of the whole work. Translation of movie titles is a special kind of language translation types. A good translation of title which is able to attract thousands of audiences is a brand name of the movie. It benefits both the movie directors and the audience: It’s very important to the successful release of a new movie and allows the target audience to feel the theme and style all about the movie just by one glimpse. This requires the translation of movie titles to be proper, attractive and to have commercial values. In that case, this paper will discuss the current situation of English movie titles, combining analyzing the characteristics and principles of the translation of them. Then provide some skills of this kind of translation, and give some useful advices. In this paper, the author mainly adopted documentary method, comparative method, inductive method and citing method.

1 Introduction
   This paper will discuss the current situation of translation of English movie titles, combining analyzing the characteristics and principles of the translation of them. Then provide some skills of this kind of translation, and give some useful advices.
