摘  要

本文主要是研究金融英语中长句的翻译。金融英语作为一种专门用途英语, 是英语与金融业和金融学的结合。金融英语在结构上的突出特点是多长句。已有的翻译研究成果中,绝大部分是针对金融英语的应用文体进行的研究，很少针对金融英语所具有的专业语言特征和翻译技巧进行综合性的分析和研究。与其他专用英语不同，金融英语的特点可概括成三点：准确性，客观性和规范性。本文旨在以句子为单位，从金融英语的语言结构层面,分析金融英语长句的特点，从英汉语言差异的比较出发,比较中英文金融句子的差异。通过对案例的对比分析，参考历年文献，总结出四个常用的翻译策略。以不同类型的长句作为例子，结合翻译方法和技巧，概括出的金融英语中长句翻译的常用策略，有助于金融英语更好的被理解，最重要的是提高金融英语的被关注度。

Abstract

The main content of this paper is to study the features of long sentences in financial English and their translation. Financial English, as a kind of English used for special purpose (ESP), is the combination of English and banking and finance. High frequent appearance of long sentences in financial text is the one of the salient features of financial English on language structural level. Among the existing research results about translation, the vast majority is aimed at researching the applied writing style of financial English, rarely at researching the professional language features of financial English and comprehensively analyzing its translation skills. Determined by its social functions, finance English has unique characteristics in syntactic structure. Compared with other specialized English, the general features of finance English can be generalized as accuracy, objectivity, and normality. Setting sentence as a unit, this paper aims to analyze the characteristics of financial long sentences from the aspect of language structure, and compare the difference between financial English sentences and financial Chinese sentences to get a better understanding of financial English for Chinese readers. By comparatively analyzing relative cases and referring to the historical literature, it comes into being four commonly used translation strategies, linear translation, inverse translation, division and conversion. Taking different types of sentences as examples and combining various translation methods and techniques, the four concluded commonly used strategies can be applied to translate long sentences in financial English, and help to understand financial English better. The most important is to call for people’s attention to financial English.

1 Introduction
   This paper mainly illustrated four common translation strategies of long sentences in financial English by analyzing the features of long sentences in financial English and comparing the differences between long sentences in Chinese and in English.
