摘　要

随着现代经济的迅速发展，中国与外界的金融联系越来越密切，在中国经济走向世界的同时，世界经济也在融入中国，而作为互相传递信息的媒介——英语报刊新闻，便显得至关重要。因此，财经英语报刊的阅读和翻译不可避免地发挥了重要作用。本文通过对各方学者的现有研究成果，结合语言学、翻译学，对相关学术著作、研究及论文进行分析，集中众多研究成果，加以总结归纳，提炼相同的观点，介绍当代财经英语报刊的地位及发展趋势，并从词汇和句法方面阐述探讨财经英语报刊的用词特点，翻译原则及翻译方法。

Abstract

With the rapid development of modern economy, the relation of China with the outside world has become more and more frequent. China needs to learn more about the world and meanwhile, the world also needs to know about China. Thus, newspaper becomes an important medium to express the information, and as a social man, we should have a consciousness to grasp the ability to read and translate the English financial press. This thesis is based on many persuasive existing achievements of scholars’ research at home and abroad, referring to their viewpoints of the linguistic features and translation skills of financial news, then, combining with the linguistics, translation, relating to the  academic works, research, papers, and  focusing on many research results. Through summarizing and refining the same view, the paper introduces the contemporary English financial press’ status and the trend of English newspapers and magazines’ development. Finally, this thesis discusses about the characteristic of English financial press, translation principles and translation strategies.

1 Introduction

Based on the achievements of scholars from abroad and domestic on the study of reading English financial press, we will go on to analyze the effective way to read the  English financial press in this paper. The key points about the characteristic and some translation strategies of English financial press will be list out.
This paper can help English learners to have a deep understanding of English financial press and to get the first-hand information from the newspaper
1.1 Background
With the prosperity of Chinese economy, the relation of China with the outside world has become more and more frequent. Thus, newspaper becomes an important medium to express the modern English. Language is changing constantly and the requirements of translation skills are increasing gradually. And this essay pays attention to these aspects and aim to help English learners to have a better grasp of  English financial news reading.
