摘要

同声传译作为传译的一种,已经有八十多年的历史。同声传译对人与人或国与国之间的交流有极大的影响。为了更能了解他人的想法，起着至关重要的作用。同声传译在提高理解他人想法方面也起着重要的角色。随着同声传译的发展，对同声传译员的表现的要求也越来越严。首先，本文对同声传译作了简要的介绍， 它的定义、特点、历史及标准。然后，作者对于同声传译的理论作了一定的研究,如中英双语之间的差别及与同声传译的关系和奈达的动态对等理论的三个方面-形式对等，意义对等和风格对等。另外，本文主要介绍了一些同声传译的技巧以提高同声传译的质量和速度。最后，作者说明了这些技巧的局限性及其本文意义。

Abstract

Simultaneous Interpretation, as a way of interpretation, has a history of over eighty years. It has a great influence on the communication between people or countries. In order to know others’ opinions well, Simultaneous Interpretation is of great importance. And the Simultaneous Interpretation also plays a vital role in improving the comprehension of others. With the need for simultaneous interpretation growing，there is also an increasing demand for improvement in simultaneous interpreter’s performance. First, this paper gives a brief introduction to Simultaneous Interpretation, such as its definition, characteristics, historical development and criteria. Then, the author makes a certain research for the theories of Simultaneous Interpretation，like the Differences between Chinese and English, relation with Simultaneous Interpretation and three levels of Nida’s Dynamic Equivalence-- Formal Equivalence, Meaning Equivalence and Style Equivalence. In addition, the thesis mainly focuses on some skills of Simultaneous Interpretation to improve the quality and speed of translation. Last but not least, the author explains the limitations of these skills and significance of the paper.

1 Introduction

With China's accession to WTO, the deepening of reform and opening up, the increasing pace of global economic integration, exchanges between countries will be more frequent. It means that the market’ demand for the number of interpreters to drive the two languages as a bridge will be increasing, especially the simultaneous interpreter, Because Simultaneous Interpretation is widely used on many occasions today. Simultaneous Interpretation, being first used at the Nuremberg Trials and then at the UN，has been quickly spread after World War II. Today，with the establishment of more and more international organizations, and an increasing number of international conferences. Simultaneous Interpretation has been more widely adopted.
Under this situation, more and more interpreters are required to perform more skillful. And this article mainly focuses on simultaneous interpretation skills which achieved in a considerable amount of exercise, and finally draws a conclusion.
