Abstract
With the rapid development of information technology and the wide use of the Internet, more and more enterprises in our country expand their products and services to all over the world. They set up their own web sites on the Internet, using Chinese-English versions for the purpose of making publicity for their enterprises and advertisement for their products. Some of them have already achieved very good results but a large number of them failed to get the expected effects, because the problems existing in the Chinese-English translation can not reach the expected effects.
What are the main problems in the Chinese-English translation on the web pages? And what are the main factors that cause those problems? It is very meaningful to take some strategies to avoid the existence of the problems in the enterprise's website translation in our country. There were some studies on the problems of enterprise's website translation, but with more and more enterprises set up their English websites, some new problems were found, especially the problems of vocabulary, sentence structure and the different culture in the translation.
The aim of this thesis is to explore the current situation of the enterprise's website translation in our country, especially the existing problems. Then, the cause of these problems and the proposal of the appropriate countermeasures will be summed up. This thesis will be able to provide some reference for those enterprises which are about to open the English website.
