摘要：

语言与文化密不可分,语言中不可避免地存在一定数量的具有本族语言特色的文化负载词。由于中西文化的巨大差异，译者在翻译文化负载词时很难找到完全对等的表达。随着全球化趋势的加强，跨文化交际越来越深入，文化负载词在一定程度上给文化交流造成了障碍。因此，文化负载词的翻译成为了一个重要的问题。作为现代文学中最具代表性的作品，《围城》中包含了大量的文化负载词。本文首先根据奈达的五种文化因素，列举了《围城》中出现的一些生态文化、物质文化、社会文化、宗教文化及语言文化负载词及其英译版，然后在此基础上，通过对比研究“归化”和“异化”的翻译策略，探讨出文化负载词的常用的几种翻译方法及其具体的应用情境，得出应灵活运用翻译手段以达到跨文化交流的目标的结论。

Abstract:

 Language is closely related with culture, so there inevitably exist some culture-loaded words in a certain language. For the vast cultural differences between Chinese and western cultures, it is quite difficult for translators to find completely equivalents in two languages when translating these culture-loaded words. Therefore, along with the advancement of the globalization process, as cross-cultural communication becomes deeper and deeper, culture-loaded words, to some extent, have become barriers in the course of cultural communication. So how to translate culture-loaded words has become an important issue. As the most representative novel in modern literature, there are an amount of culture-loaded words in Fortress Besieged. Based on Nida’s five types of cultures , that is ecological culture，material culture，social culture，religious culture and linguistic culture, this article firstly lists some culture-loaded words of those types mentioned above and their English versions in Fortress Besieged. Then the article discusses the two main translation strategies: domestication and foreignization; and several specific translation methods and their application when dealing with culture-loaded words. After a careful analysis, the author points out the necessity of the flexible use of each translation method in the cross-cultural communication.
