Abstract ：

With the deepening of reform and opening up in China, more and more official documents have been translated into English and become one of the most important ways for the whole world to know China. And these official documents involve a large number of words with Chinese characteristics in economic life. The writer extracts some representative Chinese specific words and terms in economic life by collecting and analyzing Hu Jintao’s report at 18th Party Congress and reports on the work of the government in three years. And after comparing and analyzing the features of this sort of words with Chinese characteristics in economic life, some specific translation skills have been concluded: on the one hand, Chinese cultural connotation needs to be considered; on the other hand, translators have to pay attention to the Chinese ideology and establish stylistic equivalence between the source text and target text.

随着中国改革开放的深入，越来越多的官方文件被译成英文，成为世界了解中国的重要途径。这些官方文件涉及到大量的具有中国特色的经济生活词汇。作者在收集中共十八大报告和近三年的政府工作报告的中英文版本的基础上，从中提取出一些具有代表性的中国特色经济生活类词汇和用语，通过对比分析此类词汇的特点，整理和归纳出以下具有针对性的英译技巧：一方面翻译需考虑本国文化特征，另一方面翻译需考虑本国意识形态，同时译文需符合公文的文体特征。

1. Introduction
With the rapid development of economic globalization and the implement of the reform and opening-up policy in 1970s, China has played a very important role on the world stage. Due to that, more and more words with Chinese characteristics in the field of economic fife have been created and need to be spread to other countries. As the name implies, the words with Chinese Characteristics in the field of economic life are created by Chinese people and really reflect people’s living standards in China, such as “四个现代化”, “对外开放”, “宏观调控”. And it is quite essential for the whole word to learn development situation and economic policy of China. Therefore, the importance of accurate and proper translation of this kind of words cannot be ignored. However, different countries have different cultural backgrounds, and not every Chinese word can find an accurate correspondence in another cultural background. The writer extracts some representative Chinese specific words and terms in economic life by collecting and analyzing Hu Jintao’s report at 18th Party Congress, reports on the work of the government in three years, and some important speeches delivered by Li Keqiang. The aim of this thesis is to find out some specific and effective translation strategies to avoid mistranslation.
