摘 要
随着对外开放的深入及经济水平的提高,越来越多的海外游客来到中国。为了吸引他们来中国旅游,大量的旅游资料,尤其是旅游标语,需要正确翻译成英语。旅游标语给游客直接提供有价值的信息,起到吸引国外游客的作用。因此旅游标语的英译是促进中国旅游业发展的一项重要活动,同时还承担着传播本国文化的使命。但是,目前旅游标语翻译仍存在着一系列的问题,比如没有从语境或读者的实际情况出发,翻译方法混乱等。因此讨论如何准确翻译旅游标语英译的问题具有重要意义。本文通过目的论讨论如何使其英译能准确的提供相关的旅游信息,以达到到吸引国外旅游者,宣传中国文化的目的。目的论认为翻译是一项带有一定目的的人的活动,翻译方法取决于具体的翻译目的。该理论包括三个基本法则:目的法则、连贯法则和忠实法则,它能够合理地指导旅游标语的英译。本文通过分析旅游英语标语的实例,讨论目的论指导下的旅游标语的翻译方法,使其英译能更准确的提供信息,提高读者对旅游标语的接受度,从而吸引更多的外国游客,并推动中国文化的传播。

ABSTRACT
With the increasing deep opening and the development of economy, more and more overseas tourists come to China. In order to attract them to travel to China, a mass of tourism information are to be translated into English, especially the translation of tourism slogan. Translating the tourism slogan is an important way to provide accurate information, the quality of C-E translation of tourism slogan should be improved. The Chinese-English (C-E) translation of tourism slogan aims at providing valuable information and attracts the foreign tourist to visit scenic spot. Thus, the C-E translation of tourism slogan is an important way to promote the development of China’s tourism industry, and it also assumes the responsibility of cultural communication. However, many China’s current C-E translation of tourism slogan have been translated in a series of problems, such as some translations didn’t accord with the source text and the readers’ actual situation, so it is very significant to discuss how to translate the C-E tourism slogan. According to skopostheories, translation is a kind of human activities with a certain purpose, and the methods used in translation depend on the specific purpose. Skopostheories, including three basic rules: skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule, which can reasonably guide the C-E translation of tourism slogan. Under the guidance of skopostheories, this thesis discusses the methods of the C-E translation of tourism slogan by analyzing some examples of tourism slogans. Through these methods, it helps the C-E translation offer the information more correctly and improves the readers’ acceptance of tourism slogan. Finally more and more foreign tourists will be attracted and the purpose of cultural communication will be achieved.
