摘  要：

由于不同的历史和地域因素，我们东方人的思维方式与西方人的思维方式截然不同。所以在表达上，汉语与其他语言也有不同。值得一提的是，这些已经存在的差异不仅表现在语言表达上， 而且也表现在生活的各个方面；不仅由于历史和地域的差异，更有其他更多的相关因素。我们不可能详细地研究每一种语言和每一个造成差异的原因，所以在本篇论文中我们主要研究在同一篇特定的文章中，汉语与英语的差异。本篇论文以海伦•阿林厄姆(Helen Allinghalm)及斯图尔特•迪克(Stewart Dick)合著的《农舍概述》（节选）为英语语料，陈宏薇译本为汉语语料，从以下几个方面探讨翻译中如何处理文化差异：原著作者与译者简介，文化历史背景，修辞，语境，以及衔接。

Abstract:

Owing to the different histories and areas, the way we eastern people think about items turns to a different direction when compared with the western people. So there exist differences in expression in Chinese and other languages. Moreover, the existed differences were shown not only in language expressions, but also in other aspects in live; not only because of different histories and areas, but also because of other more related factors. There’s no possibility for us to study every language and every element in detail, so we mainly study these two languages— Chinese and English in this paper on the basis of a given text. This paper sets the text On Cottages in General(Abridged) written by Helen Allingham & Stewart Dick as English material, and the translation given by Chen Hongwei as Chinese material, talking about how to deal with cultural differences in translation from these aspects: brief introduction to original authors and the translator, literally historical backgrounds, figures of speech, context, and coherence.
