摘要:

由于美国和中国的语言与文化之间存在着巨大差异，正确理解和翻译美国日常用语具有极其重要的意义，既可以增加彼此的理解、信任和合作，也可以减少误解、麻烦和冲突。 该方面的研究一般局限于泛泛的研究，尚未见到系统的研究，特别是缺乏对美国日常用语的系统研究。该论文的目的在于填补这方面的空白，从语料和统计的角度对以字母T到字母Z开头的美国日常用语进行系统的理解、翻译和分析。对比美中语言文化方面的差异，找出容易引起误解和翻译错误的部分，对其进行研究和讨论，指出美中日常用语之间文化差异的关键部分，以及在实际交际过程中处理这些差异的策略。本文共分为六部分：第一部分为文献综述，第二部分为理论框架，第三部分为语料处理和分析，第四部分为结果，第五部分为该研究的意义，最后一部分指出该论文的不足和将来的研究方向。本文的语料由有多年在美国学习和工作经验徐兴仁博士收集和提供，仅限用于该毕业论文，未经允许不得它用。

Abstract:

Owing to the huge difference in language and culture between China and American, it is significant to understand everyday American English, which can not only increase the understanding, trust and cooperation, but also reduce misunderstanding and even conflict between China and US. However, the research in this aspect is very limited and not conducted systematically. This thesis aims at to fill the gap and carry out a systematic study of everyday American English beginning with the letter from T to Z from the perspective of data and statistics. By comparing the language and culture difference between China and US, the author tries to find out the components which can easily cause misunderstanding and some translation errors. After the completion of all the data analysis, the language and culture difference between China and US would be found and some practical strategies of translation in would also be discussed. This thesis is divided into six parts: The first part is literature revie. The second part is the theoretical framework. In the third part, the author would conduct a systematic data processing and analysis which serves as the key part of the whole thesis. The fourth part is the finding of this research. In the fifth part, the author would point out the significance of this research. At last, in the sixth part, the author would summarize the conclusion and point out some limitations in the thesis as well as the directions of future research. The data of this thesis were collected and provided by professor Xu Xingren who had studied and worked in America for many years and it is only permitted to applied to in this thesis and can not used for other purpose without permission.
