摘要：

在经济全球化大背景下，中外文化交流和传播速度不断加快，传播途径更丰富多彩，其中电视剧的传播发挥了重要的作用。《生活大爆炸》作为一部广受欢迎的流行美剧，自播出以来就以其飙高的收视率风靡全球，在传播文明和文化方面起了非常重要的作用。许多学者已就其翻译做出了许多研究。本论文意图在各位前人研究的基础上，通过分析字幕翻译的特点，进而继续探索《生活大爆炸》中的翻译方法包括增译，加注，省译等，并希望能为相关字幕翻译研究提供一定的借鉴。

Abstract:
 
Under the context of globalization, the speed of cultural communication and transmission between China and foreign countries is becoming increasingly rapid, and the means of transmission is more colorful, in which T.V. series has played an important role. The Big Bang Theory, as a popular T.V. sitcom, has a large audience since its release, serving as an important bridge in spreading civilization and culture. Many scholars have conducted many researches on its translation. The thesis intends to explore translation strategies as domestication, free translation, literal translation with notes and deletion according to analyzing features of subtitle translation based on previous studies, with the purpose to provide some useful points for subtitle translation.

1. Introduction
  1.1 Research background
With the development of the technology and frequent communication of contemporary world, people’s life becomes more and more rich and colorful; therefore, the U.S. TV series become more and more popular. In recent years, a lot of TV series have caught people’s eyes and made people fascinated, such as Friends, Gossip Girl, Nikita, and The Big Bang Theory and so on. It can be safely said that U.S. TV series have turned into an essential part of people’s life, especially those who possess some knowledge and college students’ life. What comes with this phenomenon is that an increase number of people are keen on the translation of U.S TV series subtitles in order to raise the whole level of people’s watching and promote the communication between America and China. A lot of young students who are interested in the subtitle translation spontaneously form some translation groups so that they can make some meaningful translation and increase the quality of the subtitle translation, thus the research of U.S. TV series subtitle translation is become imperative.
