Abstract

    In recent years, the rapid development of multi-platform of the Internet not only provides more channels for people to access information, but also brings news consumption into a new competitive battlefield now that is much more intense and complex than in traditional news era. Meanwhile, “Weibo”, a kind of Chinese version of Twitter or Facebook, is developing rapidly nowadays. It gives a great opportunity to new media based on the mobile Internet. Because of the limitation of China’s Internet, people need news translation activities to help them keep in touch with the whole world.
    This thesis takes Weibo E-C news translation as the object of study. While it is the application of the traditional translation activity on the new media, it must be confined and governed by traditional translation theories and principles, as well as bear its unique features. This paper will discuss the characteristics and special points of news translation on Weibo. Besides, translation approaches adopted in news translation on Weibo is also mentioned. Based on the examples, the author analyzes and finds out the usage of each strategy, which may help translators’ work on Weibo.

摘要

    近年来，以网络为载体的信息传播方式在人们日常生活中逐渐扮演起重要的角色。一方面，与报纸、广播、电视等传统媒体相比，基于网络的新兴媒体在向受众推广信息方面有着良好的渠道优势。另一方面，随着网络在全球范围内的日益发展，新闻传播的时效性与网络的便捷性紧密契合，世界各地的新闻可以很快地上载到网络上。因此网络无疑成为了国际新闻传播的重要途径。
    就国内而言，新媒体的发展方兴未艾。而社交网络微博这一网络平台更是为新媒体提供了广阔的成长空间。由于国内网络较为封闭，具有特殊性。很多国外的即时新闻国内大众无法直接获取，需要借助众多新媒体的翻译方可广泛传播。因此，研究社交网络下的新媒体新闻的英译汉有着重要的意义。
    本文以微博上新媒体翻译的国外新闻文本作为研究对象。由于这些文本的翻译是翻译这一活动在新媒体的运用，因此，这一翻译活动必然具有传统新闻翻译的特点，受传统翻译理论、原则的制约；同时受限于140字，其具有自己的独特之处。本文试图指出新媒体新闻翻译的特点，归纳其翻译方式以及独有的特征。此外，指出现今新媒体新闻翻译存在的缺陷和不足，并尝试提出解决方式。
