摘要:

诗歌在我国有着悠久的历史,并在文学上有着崇高的地位。古往今来,中西方译者都在努力奋斗,争取使文化间的交互传播更加顺畅。在诗歌的英译过程中,译者不仅要把握好诗歌的感情,也要把握好诗歌当中的意象。意象是诗歌的主题,也是诗歌的灵魂,它是诗人主观情意和客观现实的复合体。意象十分具有文艺美学,而在诗中,意象有时候是真实的,有时候又是虚拟的,因此把握好如何翻译十分必要。为使源语和目的语之间的转换有一个标准,并减少差异,美国著名翻译家尤金·奈达提出了功能对等理论。本文以功能对等理论为指导,以李清照《声声慢》的三个译本为例,通过其中对于意象英译的处理进行总结,旨在寻求能够使意象英译更加贴切,更加传神的翻译方法。

Abstract:

 Poetry has a long history in our country and enjoys an exalted statue. From ancient times, translators in home and abroad are striving for the smooth of cultural interactive communication. In the process of translation, translators should not only pay attention to the emotion of poetry but also to the images in it. Image is the theme of the poetry, and also the soul of poetry. It is the combination of poet’s subjective feelings and objective realities. The image is quite possessing literature aesthetic. And in poem, image is sometimes true, sometimes virtual, thus grasping how to translate is necessary. To find a conversion standard between the source text and the target text, and to release the differences, Eugene Nida brought out the theory of functional equivalence. In this paper, with the guidance of functional equivalence theory, and the example of three translation versions of Li Qingzhao’s ShengShengMan, the author tries to summarize the methods of image translation, and to find better ways to make image translation more appropriate and more vivid.
