Abstract

Translation has played a very important role in the several -thousand -year history of the Chinese Culture. Recently, more and more zero translation words are used in people’s daily life. This paper takes a dialectical view to analyze the impact of zero translation upon our culture, including the promotion of the communication between diverse cultures and the cultural colonization, and proposes that we should rationally treat both the advantages and disadvantages that zero translation brings to our culture, thus absorbing what is good and rejecting what is bad.

摘要

翻译在中国几千年文化中扮演着非常重要的角色，当前人们在生活中越来越多地用到“零翻译”词语，本文旨在分析“零翻译”现象给我们带来的文化冲击：一方面，“零翻译”现象会促进不同文化之间的交流；另一方面，它是某种程度的文化殖民。通过对“零翻译”现象的具体分析，文章指出，我们要用辩证的眼光看待文化传播与文化殖民两种后果，理性对待“零翻译”现象对我国文化产生的利弊。
