摘要

在我们生活的世界里，处处存在着颜色。衣食住行，生活种种，都由各种各样的颜色组成，可以说没有颜色，生活将变得异常乏味枯燥。同样，人类的语言文化也离不开颜色词，不同的语言文化对颜色词的理解与运用不一样，因为颜色词反映着不同的社会心理，风俗习惯，政治背景，价值取向等。如果对颜色词在不同文化中的理解不到位，就会产生误解，因此，本文将从跨文化的角度对一些基本颜色词（黑、白、红、黄、绿）的文化内涵进行分析与探讨，最后从思维习惯和方式的差异；生活方式和风俗的差异；价值取向的不同；历史政治背景的差异四个方面说明造成中外颜色词翻译差异的原因，从而帮助我们更准确的使用颜色词，加深对不同文化的理解。

Abstract

We live in a world where colors exist everywhere. Our daily life is made up of different kinds of colors. There is no doubt that without color, our life will become tedious and dull. Also, human language and culture cannot live without color terms, and different language and culture has different understandings and applications of same color terms, because color terms reflect different social psychologies, customs, political backgrounds and the orientation of value and so forth. And misinterpretation will be produced if our comprehensions of color terms have strayed from the point. Therefore, in this paper, the author will analyze and approach the connotations of some basic color terms (black, white, red, yellow and green) from cross-cultural viewpoint, and finally, the author will explain the causes for the differences of basic color terms in C-E translation from four aspects (difference in thinking modes, difference in lifestyle and custom, difference in value orientation and difference in historical and political background), and then we can use color terms more accurately and it will deepen our understandings of different cultures.
