摘要

    本文以何其芳散文——《雨前》为例，通过比较、分析和总结张培基先生、张梦井教授和笔者三方对该散文中各个主语、谓语的不同翻译方法，为读者提供在散文英译中主语和谓语确定的较为准确的方法。其研究主要集中于以下方面：第一，引言部分介绍翻译这项工作的内容，以及该工作目前在散文翻译这方面的应用，同时对目的散文——《雨前》作简要介绍。第二，针对目标散文的翻译，找出翻译过程中体现主、谓语确定的代表性之处，分析其对普通译者而言的难点。第三，译文比较部分将笔者译文区别于两位大家译文之处，以及三种译文中比较出彩之处做出罗列。第四部分，将翻译过程中在主、谓语确定方面容易遇到的问题作了总结。

Abstract

This paper，taking Yu Qian, by He Qifang as an example, and by comparing, analyzing and concluding the different translating methods respectively from Mr. Zhang (Zhang Peiji), Prof. Zhang (Zhang Mengjing) and the author (of the paper) himself，focuses its attention on extracting and presenting to the readers the effective methods of defining the subject and predicate in prose translation. The research begins with an introduction of translation work, its application in prose translation and the target prose. Second, it compares two of the three versions to another and makes a list of some highlights sparkled out in the process. Third, it selects some examples from the text and makes an analysis about the difficulty in the translating process. Finally, it gives a conclusion over the difficulties one might meet in translating a Chinese prose.
