摘要
   
本文从习语的翻译入手以文化差异为背景研究习语的翻译方法。由于英语文化是形合的文化而汉语文化是意合的文化，在习语的翻译上，中翻英和英翻中的方法也大不相同。翻译的方法主要分为异化和归化。异化又可分为意译和解释翻译法，归化中的典型译法是直译。无论是在翻译中文习语还是英文习语时，都应该具体问题具体分析，根据所翻译的习语选择合适的翻译方法。本文就中英习语的特征和翻译方法结合例子展开研究。

Abstract

This paper will study Chinese and English Idiom from the perspective of translation. Because English culture is the culture of hypotaxis and Chinese culture is the culture of parataxis, the translation methods of two diverse idioms are quite different. Theoretically, translation methods can be divided into foreignization and domestication. And the most typical method of foreignization is literature translation. Domestication is consisted of free translation and explanation. According to the different language environment, we should choose different methods. This paper will combine the idiom translation with examples according to the characteristics of Chinese and English idioms.
