摘  要

随着中国社会主义市场经济体系的建立和发展，尤其是中国入世以来，中国金融业对外开放的程度不断加大，金融市场也逐渐融入到国际金融市场之中。金融在现代经济中起着极其重要的作用。为了提高我国金融机构乃至整个金融行业的竞争力，我们需要借鉴西方国家先进的金融理论。因而，对于西方金融英语文献资料的大量翻译活动则应运而生。金融英语具有简洁、精确、规范的特点。翻译金融英语时不仅要遵循一般的翻译标准，还要考虑其使用的社交环境。本论文在前人研究的基础上，分析了金融英语的特点及翻译原则，并探索了社交语境在其翻译中的功能，旨在阐释社交语境在金融英语翻译过程中的重要性，并帮助金融英语翻译者提高自身的翻译能力和水平，同时也为该领域相关研究提供一定的新视角。

Abstract

With the establishment and development of China’s socialistic market economy system, especially after China’s entry into WTO, Chinese financial industry is opening to the outside world at a greater degree and Chinese financial market is gradually integrating into the international financial market. In the modern economy, finance plays an extremely important role and financial market in China faces a great challenge. Therefore, we should learn from the western countries and use their advanced financial theories to improve the competitiveness of Chinese financing institution and even the whole financial industry. A large number of translation activities related to Western Financial English literature emerged. Because financial English is accurate, simple and standard, its translation should not only follow the principles and rules of translation, but also consider the financial environment in which financial English is used. Financial English, as a language with special purpose, has its own specific social context. Therefore, this thesis analyzes the characteristics of financial English and the principles of its translation, and explores the functions of social context in the translation, aiming to explain the importance of social context in the translation of financial English and improve the translator‘s ability and quality of financial English translation. Meanwhile, this study can provide a new perspective for the researches in the field.
