摘　要

语言是文化的载体，而词语则是文化内涵的升华，特别是各个地区和国家的颜色词，更能生动的反应出不同的民族色彩和鲜明的文化个性。在中西文化中，颜色词敏感的反应出了社会生活和社会思想的改变与区别。而由于英汉文化的显著差别，不同国家的自然环境，社会制度，文化背景，风俗人情，都有类似的内涵，也有分歧点。本文立足于颜色词的文化内涵与翻译，首先从它的基本意引申出其内涵，然后通过大量的例子，归纳了颜色词的文化内涵在东西方文化上的差异并从文化的角度探讨了英汉颜色词在英汉语中丰富文化的语义对比。

Abstract

Language is the carrier of culture, the word is the most essential factor in language, it is the most sensitive to reflect the rapid change of the social life and social thought, words can most reflect the cultural characteristics of the part in the language. Different color words can reflect rich national colors and different cultural personality. In Chinese, color words often reflect the different cultural mentality and emotional color. Since ancient times, there are many color words which have rich and colorful meanings. Similarly, in English, there are many color words containing the culture in the west. But as a result of English and Chinese national natural environment, social system, customs, culture background, it first draws forth the cultural connotation by introducing the basic meaning of color words. Then it introduces the differences of cultural connotations about color words between the western cultures and it also explores the rich semantic contrast of color words between English and Chinese culture from the perspective of color culture.
