摘  要

英语模糊语在文学中有着广泛的应用，是构成文学作品的审美价值和审美功能的主要方面。如若缺乏模糊语言的相应的、充足的知识，读者无法体会文学作品中说话人或讲述人的深层含义。基于前人对英语模糊语言的研究，本文将从接受美学的角度继续深入探究英语模糊语在文学翻译中的应用，并结合对美学理论主要思想的论述，从接受美学的理论以及前任学者的研究、模糊语言的定义、接受美学的理论、文学作品中的模糊美以及模糊语言在文学作品中的美学价值等方面归纳出模糊美对翻译的众多启示并试着提出一些建议，从而帮助读者更好地理解文学作品，更重要的是提高笔译质量。

Abstract

Fuzzy language is widely used in literary works for it is one of main part of its aesthetic effects and functions of literary work. However without proficient and substantial knowledge of English fuzzy language, readers cannot taste the deep feeling of speakers or narrators in literature. Led by the previous studies of English fuzzy language, this thesis will continue with the discussion about its application to literary translation from the perspectives of Reception Aesthetics theory, which will also combine with the definition of fuzzy language, fuzzy beauty in literature translation and the main idea of aesthetic theory to generalize some enlightenment of fuzzy beauty on translation. Then based on the results, suggestions are proposed to achieve a better understanding of literary works and above all to improve the quality of literary translation.
