摘  要

习语是文化的载体，也是人们在实践中得出的语言精华。习语通常分为俗语、格言、成语、谚语、俚语、歇后语等几种，具有特定形式和无法从词组中单个词的意思推测而得的特性。习语在语言运用中具有很重要的地位，恰到好处地翻译习语将有助于跨文化交流。中英不同的文化使得英汉习语在表达上有很大差异，也使得翻译中容易产生误译。因此，学习一些习语的翻译技巧，对于加强对英汉习语文化内涵差异的了解有着重要的意义。本文尝试从文化的视角，从风俗习惯、历史典故和宗教信仰等维度探讨习语的文化差异，提出一些促进习语理解的翻译方法，旨在为人们更好地翻译和理解不同文化的习语特色提供一些借鉴。

Abstract

Idiom is the carrier of culture, which it is also the language essence people obtained from practice. Idioms usually include idioms, proverbs, maxims, proverbs, slang. It refers to what is commonly used together with a specific form of the phrase, the meaning often cannot deduce from the meanings of individual words and phrases in Chinese. Idioms plays a very important role in language use, perfect translation of idioms will contribute to intercultural communication. The different culture makes Chinese-English idioms have great differences in expression, but also makes the mistranslation prone to translation. Therefore, learning idioms translation skills, to enhance the understanding of the cultural differences between English and Chinese idioms have important significance. This paper attempts to explore cultural differences of Idioms from the perspective of customs, historical stories and religious beliefs, etc., from the cultural perspective, put forward to promote understanding of idioms translation methods, so as to better translation and to provide some reference for understanding the different cultural characteristics of English idioms.
